Blue Haven Cottage in Surry is a perfect spot for your next getaway! We are excited to offer this beautiful, newly remodeled cottage for the very first time in 2022! This cottage is located just about two miles from Newbury Neck Beach, one of the most beautiful public beaches in the area and a local favorite.
This cottage boasts four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and on-site laundry, making this a fantastic stay for a large family or an extended family vacation. On the first floor of the cottage, you can find the well-equipped kitchen with excellent granite countertops and service for up to eight guests, gorgeous hardwood floors, an open living room, an in-kitchen dining area, and one full bathroom, and one bedroom with a queen-size bed. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (two are connected by a doorway through their adjoining wall), a full bathroom, and a balcony off the master bedroom. Throughout the cottage, there are custom-made built-ins that provide plenty of storage for all of your belongings.

One of our guests’ favorite features in this home is the large patio off of the kitchen. The patio features a grill and a fire pit along with robust outdoor furniture to enjoy those warm summer evenings. The patio is our most recent renovation, completed in May of 2022!
Enjoy your day at the beach, all while gazing at the mountains of Acadia National Park. At the end of the beach, enjoy lunch or dinner (open seasonally) at Perry’s Lobster Shack as you watch lobster boats land their daily catch. Newbury Neck Road is a welcoming spot for walkers, runners, and bicyclists. The small coastal town of Surry offers a convenience store (try their pizza!), an ice cream shop, and a hardware store. Outdoor activities within a few miles of the cottage include walking/hiking trails, beaches, kayaking, freshwater swimming/boating, and more!
Truly, this is an ideal location to go on a getaway to escape the city! This cottage is only 40 minutes from the famous Acadia National Park. You can easily visit the park for the incredible sights and then escape from the crowds and find your peace and quiet back at the cottage.
In addition to all that Acadia has to offer, the cottage is only a ten-minute drive to the Blue Hill Peninsula. With wonderful restaurants, local shopping, and outdoor recreation opportunities abound, there is something for everyone in this relaxing vacation destination.

What to Expect In Surry, Maine
Surry is a nice, quiet coastal town just West of Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. You have access to both Ellsworth and Blue Hill via State Route 172. It’s a very beautiful location surrounded by nature. Josie’s cafe is on the main road to Ellsworth; it’s your one-stop combination beer cave, a Filipino restaurant, convenience store, and Asian food market, which is an excellent example of the unique character of this region of Maine
